This blog is devoted to issues affecting, concerning or just plain amusing the wonderful people who have devoted their careers (and lives) to the noble work of public defense. There are a lot of blogs out there, there are even a lot of legal blogs, but I hope to focus on the topic of indigent criminal defense. I got the idea to start blogging from a friend of mine, who is one of the victims of my occasional mass emails to fellow "criminally defense minded" law students regarding articles, you tube video's and job opportunities. As I mentioned I am a Law Student, so I do not claim to be an expert, I only claim to be interested and engaged. While I hope to provide some commentary (hopefully meaningful and/or amusing) my goal is to bring together different articles, cases, and the occasional youtube video to your attention. I hope that over time we are able to build a online community where we can share war stories, ideas, and debate issues affecting the work of public defenders. To start off here is a hilarious you tube video that is sure to make any public defender (or PD to be) giggle.
